County Launches Online Requests for Vital Record Certified Copies

County Clerk Pete Duncan announced his office had recently rolled out an online request form for copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates.

Those needing either a certified copies or a genealogy copy can enter their request online and either pay with a credit card so the entire transaction is online or have the option of bringing in or mailing a payment.

“Our goal has always been to try and offer as much access to what people need from our office when and where they need it,” Duncan said. “Sometimes, getting to the Courthouse between regular business hours or mailing in a request just doesn’t work. This new request tool will allow anyone, anywhere, to request copies of the record they may need and get it quickly.”

Duncan stressed that there were still identification requirements that had to be met before the transaction was completed in total. All requests are also kept on file should the need to investigate a request come up.
